Feels Like the First Time

It feels like just yesterday that I was sitting in front of my Compaq computer, believing nothing could ever replace cassette tapes, and knowing that having more than four TV channels meant that civilization had reached its peak. Yet here I sit, doing a blog. Is that right, “doing” a blog? Probably not. Oh, well, it doesn’t matter, because I’m Gen Z, and while I’m not overly concerned with the verbiage, I refuse to have only one space after a period. I don’t know if anybody will even read this, but if someone out there chooses to read my ramblings of times gone by, sharing my love for what seemed like a simpler time (God, I sound like my parents!), then I’ll post again. If not, I suppose this blog will remain in the ether far longer than I will.

  1. Wow, your journey down memory lane really hits home! It’s incredible how technology has evolved, yet the nostalgia for simpler times remains. Your blog captures that sentiment perfectly. Can’t wait to read more of your musings!

    1. Thank you! I’m honestly shocked anybody even read it lol. I was always the type to start a diary, but quit rather quickly, so I’ll see how long I keep this up.

      1. I totally get it! Putting your thoughts out there can feel like shouting into the void sometimes, but it’s awesome that people are connecting with your content. And hey, it’s all about finding your rhythm. Whether it’s a diary or a blog, as long as it feels right for you, keep at it! Old-school vibes are always a hit – looking forward to checking out your posts!

  2. Cassette tapes? Luxury. We had 8 tracks, and that’s all the tracks there needed to be, dadgummit!

    1. Born in ’70, I just missed the 8 track era, but know many people who loved them. And kudos for the “dadgummit”, a very underused word lol.
